We believe in rebuilding and revitalizing local business.
That, to us, does not necessarily mean brick and mortar businesses (don’t get us wrong, we would love that). It means more than that. It means supporting and patronizing as many local businesses as possible. Someone else’s success is not our failure. We encourage the success of anyone doing their best to accomplish something.
We did not start 2 Besties to become rich. We are doing this because both of us grew up in local businesses. Local business is at the heart of everything we do every day. Our first jobs as teenagers were within the walls of local businesses.
We are also on this biscuits adventure to help local pups live a good life until they find their FURever homes. We donate 20% of every biscuit purchased to the Northeast Missouri Humane Society. If we start to sell more in Illinois, we will work with a local humane society there for the Illinois purchased biscuits (let’s not put the cart before the horse though). As for the state of Missouri, our local business is a proud AgriMissouri member. That means a lot to us as well.
In short, we encourage you to shop small. Even if it’s not every single day. Grab the things that you can at a small business. We also implore you to visit our hometown, Hannibal, MO. The downtown historic district is packed with family fun. Hannibal is a great day trip. We enjoy spending our free time on Main Street.
Maybe start by buying from a small local business on November 26, Small Business Saturday.
